Subway Siesta
eyes in the clouds
chin on my chest
shoulders rocking side to side
from along straightaways
against curves
so many screeches
so many clackety-clacks
so many loudspeaker voices
years of underground reverie
of subconsciousness
always awakening me
on time
at my destination
Forever Us
some would surmise
that in the beginning
a Guardian Angel
became our guide
to Love
comforting our steps
thru many lifetimes
to give birth
to this moment
a happiness beyond belief
but I
have always known
that Angel
to be You
Offerings
more than decor
commital sacred
to Mother Earth
her sufferings
to release
to better Rebirth
to aspire
drawing all worthy eyes
to Meditation
to Devotion
to the Triple Gem
of Time’s essence
Windows
congenial black holes
welcome mats to mysteries
perhaps th’ other side
of the world
or th’ universe
or another time
or a looking glass
from unseen eyes
curious of us
at our sadness
about what was so much more
in its youth
about our wonderment
at its aging gracefully
by Nature’s witching wand
Kloof Nek to Hout Bay
two meandering souls
a quiet sail
a breeze with eyes focus’d
straight ahead
destin’d to collide
into each other’s arms
a swim to enjoy
in anxious waters
or maybe to chase a lost ball
emblazon’d with the portrait
of a child kyodo
while dreams the steersman
of a cosmic night
with Twelve apostles
in his wake
Reptilia
lizards of a leather
rock together
Overlook
her face
beyond her maquillage
I listen
thru refrains of seasons
to her voices
an unfetter’d choir
ever-blending
ever-evolving
everlasting
I hope
at least
till my next call
