SD ComicCon 2026

Hello, Everyone.

The recent heat wave didn’t stop the deluge
of excited fans (including my wife and I), neither
in our downtown’s Gaslamp Quarter nor in our
Convention Center and beyond.  Hotels and
restaurants throughout the city were packed.
And the bravest of souls in extensive queues
prayed for an opening to a favorite venue.

be simply  Spectators curious
of curious Shoreline Spectators
and Whatever’s Happening over There

Orb of Dusk
parachutes slowly
behind the Main Wall
her polish’d Glam to fade

an Exclamation Point
to a Pleasurable Day
of Friends and Locals
Picnicking in the Park

Modest Heart

is there cosmetical Diversion,
masking of Womanhood
some Purity desirous for Me
to match the Beauty neither Uniform
nor Differences in Character and Creed
can camouflage?

so Failure fear not,
when, in Truth, there be None.
just steer thy wing’d Steed
into th’ Airs in Question;
cast the Clouding Net
to vacuum up the Mist’ries;
and really touch the Sun.

            besides,
suppose She feels the Same
        (about You.)
O, would That be a Dream!

Last Night
I saw Him many Years ago
looking straight at Me Today—
only He couldn’t see Me Then

until Now—
in Awe of his Youth
in Awe of his Potential
and wondering
if He’d be disappoint’d
… or satisfy’d
that He’d become Me

a new artist
commingles light declining
with heaven’s nimbi

and ere dries that canvas
brushstrokes will give birth
to moods of fresher expressions
till dusk fades into shadow

Globe of Fire in Clouds be embellish’d—
tho Spectrum feinting  to Hues’ Absence—
at present ‘tis Beauty of Complexion fresh—
trancing Visions to newer Frenzies
