Fervor

condens’d our heats
so oestrual surfaces hardly themselves
       touch’d
     though touch’d hardly
and vaporized—
ourselves to smell
ourselves to taste
inhaling too those fragrances—
to cradlerock erotic turbulence
  aground ‘neath bottomless depths
where render penance frozen forms
       forgiven—
by summer’s eye grac’d their fleshly souls

       hear, our future’s ear!
of today
a more fertile echo
and this amorous passionate peace renew—
      again by your offspring
                     reecho…
                  and again…
pray, lovers keep us till tomorrow’s end

Lucky Me

to be me
Then…
again

how awesome
for even
one grant’d wish

to
the pleasure
the pliancy
the plainness
of Youth

rush runging
the ladder
to seize Hereafter

to
the laggard
the lapse
the languidness
of Eldership

but
for the Life
that I Love—
for the Love
of my Life—

I’ll keep Today’s harvest

Our Blessings Counted

like grand sequoian spires
so too thru time’s diverse cadence
endures heart-sprung joy

arm in arm
from friendships
to cosmic riddles
to labors of corpus and thought
to spirits bruis’d and tearful laughs
           to solitary retreats

‘tis our love’s fault

Forever Us

some would surmise
that in the beginning
a Guardian Angel
became our guide
to Love

comforting our steps
thru many lifetimes
to give birth
to this moment
a happiness beyond belief

but I
have always known
that Angel
to be You

Hereafter

pray
rise and shine
O favorable Sun

to warm our hearts
and ope thy clouds
with splendent rain

to awaken dreams
of such Friendhood
of Love
of Harmony

that we might ne’er know
thy dusk

Olden Love

                                          another seasons of four
                                          have we shar’d

                                          be the fog
                                          thicker

                                          the sidewalks
                                          more uneven

                                          our thoughts
                                          often lost in thought

                                          yet whenever I feel
                                          the lifelines
                                          of thy fragile hand
                                          with mine
                                          ‘tis yesterday’s light
                                          I behold
                                          in that fairest of faces

Crane of Paradise

                                              Seductress
                                              of eyes athirst

                                              of lovers faithful
                                              to Truth

                                              of ideas embracing
                                              wherefore of Life
