Our Blessings Counted

like grand sequoian spires
so too thru time’s diverse cadence
endures heart-sprung joy

arm in arm
from friendships
to cosmic riddles
to labors of corpus and thought
to spirits bruis’d and tearful laughs
           to solitary retreats

‘tis our love’s fault

Forever Us

some would surmise
that in the beginning
a Guardian Angel
became our guide
to Love

comforting our steps
thru many lifetimes
to give birth
to this moment
a happiness beyond belief

but I
have always known
that Angel
to be You

Offerings

more than decor

commital sacred
to Mother Earth
her sufferings
to release

to better Rebirth
to aspire

drawing all worthy eyes
to Meditation
to Devotion

to the Triple Gem
of Time’s essence

Windows

congenial black holes
welcome mats to mysteries

perhaps th’ other side
of the world
or th’ universe
or another time

or a looking glass
from unseen eyes
curious of us

at our sadness
about what was so much more
in its youth

about our wonderment
at its aging gracefully
by Nature’s witching wand

Outside

old stomping grounds
of our forebears
ere cement supplant’d forests
ere the wind became trite

no wonder
our instincts
not born of fables

so for now
with even more acute
eyes and ears
will we savor these ventures

Floral Telepathy

                                           look at me

                                           let thy sight
                                           slowly fade into thought

                                          contemplate
                                          where you’ve never been

                                          inside my kingdom

                                          you the sentient

                                         the pupil
                                         of the live inanimate

                                         and graduate
                                         to savor my essentia

After the Rain

                                           one Morn cherish’d I
                                           when Mother Earth
                                           step’d from her shower
                                           don’d her favorite robe
                                           and invit’d Half Moon
                                           to have breakfast
                                           with the Sun and Me

Hereafter

pray
rise and shine
O favorable Sun

to warm our hearts
and ope thy clouds
with splendent rain

to awaken dreams
of such Friendhood
of Love
of Harmony

that we might ne’er know
thy dusk

Today’s Aspiration

thru a rift in the fabric
                                            of cold uncertainty
                                            fly our deafen’d spirits

                                            from the bugles of despair
                                            towards that sparkle
                                            in the spire of time

oh!  to feel the warm voices
                                           of angels
on the wings of a Miracle

New World 2

                                               once organic— soon
                                               biogenetically
                                               modify’d planet?

Koi in Looking Glass

                                          so many
                                          Jewels of Power
                                          streaming
                                          in dancing shadows
                                          of land and sky

                                          but only one
                                          Dragon of Good Fortune
                                          rising
                                          where rainbows prism peaks
                                          of clashing cascades

queue

                                      Darn those early birds
Guess I’ll have to wait my turn
                                      Please leave me some seed
