Forecast?

a dromedary I’ve become
on what’s left
of ice and sea

‘twas this another cycle
by Nature’s hand?

or by industry
and a turbulent cloud
by covetous ancients
who cared only
for their own lifetime?

Time

for Itself…
slower than Silence

never born
never dying

hatching
virgin Emptiness
to fire and rock
to breast-feeding seas
to roots and lungs

till all becomes ash
fertilizing
hatching
fortuitous Newness

but
for Us…
faster than Light

Our Blessings Counted

like grand sequoian spires
so too thru time’s diverse cadence
endures heart-sprung joy

arm in arm
from friendships
to cosmic riddles
to labors of corpus and thought
to spirits bruis’d and tearful laughs
           to solitary retreats

‘tis our love’s fault

Forever Us

some would surmise
that in the beginning
a Guardian Angel
became our guide
to Love

comforting our steps
thru many lifetimes
to give birth
to this moment
a happiness beyond belief

but I
have always known
that Angel
to be You

Offerings

more than decor

commital sacred
to Mother Earth
her sufferings
to release

to better Rebirth
to aspire

drawing all worthy eyes
to Meditation
to Devotion

to the Triple Gem
of Time’s essence

Windows

congenial black holes
welcome mats to mysteries

perhaps th’ other side
of the world
or th’ universe
or another time

or a looking glass
from unseen eyes
curious of us

at our sadness
about what was so much more
in its youth

about our wonderment
at its aging gracefully
by Nature’s witching wand

Outside

old stomping grounds
of our forebears
ere cement supplant’d forests
ere the wind became trite

no wonder
our instincts
not born of fables

so for now
with even more acute
eyes and ears
will we savor these ventures
