Paramours’ Time
after a long overcast
with brethren gliding
o’er piscary
break formation shall we
and meet above that halo
where the Sun
sneaks thru the clouds
to kiss the Sea
and mirror our wings
to the comfort
of rock and cliffs
for the night
Mates
how opportune
our former flesh
parch’d
to barren veins
to silent hearts
reshap’d
luster’d
by Nature
by Time
by Mankind
slumbering on
embosom’d
for inquisitive eyes
but together
still
Stardust
have our spirits always been
as fancies my heart?
from time’s weaning
to Eden
to redwood saplings
to when Everest was but a plain with child
to when clouds cry’d into Atlantic canyons
to when a candle yawn’d and stretch’d
and marry’d Night with Day
Oh, yes
We were there
Olden Love
another seasons of four
have we shar’d
be the fog
thicker
the sidewalks
more uneven
our thoughts
often lost in thought
yet whenever I feel
the lifelines
of thy fragile hand
with mine
‘tis yesterday’s light
I behold
in that fairest of faces
one breath
winds of gray
unsure footings
restless waters
with ease or burden
matters not
so long as one voice
harmonizes our sails
so be our time fulfill’d
togetherness
hands
eyes
thoughts
in courtship
sensing
no one
nothing
nowhere but here
now this is dancing
