in all tongues
speaks this Mountain
despite her sure muteness—
and all eyes listen
to her beauty
to her majesty
o’er Lower Heaven
o’er Earth in Bloom

outside my window
Nature’s shedding her cocoon—
metamorphosis

adept leaps and climbs
make everywhere my perch
while blanks turn to smiles
stalwart roots
of life a spectrum
in the gray of lifeless stone
somehow finds a way
bug’s eye view
for but a moment
he pauses

his realm to survey
to muse over the marvel
enfolding his senses
till arouses his wings
and the real dragon
within himself
