Modest Heart

is there cosmetical Diversion,
masking of Womanhood
some Purity desirous for Me
to match the Beauty neither Uniform
nor Differences in Character and Creed
can camouflage?

so Failure fear not,
when, in Truth, there be None.
just steer thy wing’d Steed
into th’ Airs in Question;
cast the Clouding Net
to vacuum up the Mist’ries;
and really touch the Sun.

            besides,
suppose She feels the Same
        (about You.)
O, would That be a Dream!

From Then

Last Night
I saw Him many Years ago
looking straight at Me Today—
only He couldn’t see Me Then

until Now—
in Awe of his Youth
in Awe of his Potential
and wondering
if He’d be disappoint’d
… or satisfy’d
that He’d become Me

Sunset 0126

come evening
a new artist
commingles light declining
with heaven’s nimbi

and ere dries that canvas
brushstrokes will give birth
to moods of fresher expressions
till dusk fades into shadow

Park Sans Colour

Globe of Fire in Clouds be embellish’d—
tho Spectrum feinting  to Hues’ Absence—
at present ‘tis Beauty of Complexion fresh—
trancing Visions to newer Frenzies

Vows

Arm in Arm
thy Bridal Sails
Favor of Winds and Seas

and smiling Suns
that Lovers and Friends
Themselves might keep
beyond Dusk of Eternity

Epoch

so futuristic
this Now—
so long ago
until a Century’s Guise I don —
and hopefully
in hope have Faith still
That be true
That Tomorrow

SD ComicCon 2025

Hi, everyone.  Been pretty busy lately with out-of-towner relatives visiting, but more recently—with the SD ComicCon 2025.  My wife and I did a staycation at the Town and Country Hotel, which provided us with breakfast sandwiches and all ComicCon hours everyday of free bus service to the Convention Center.  We enjoyed several movie/tv series panels of actors and associated credits, with some even including either trailers or whole opening episodes (like Alien:Earth).  The entire Saturday was devoted to the many miles on the main floor of vendors, artists, and various displays.  Last stop was the Art Show, where I perused every panel to give myself ideas on some diversity in my own stuff.

At the end of each adventurous day downtown, shared by 130,000 others (not counting tourists), we ended up in the hotel’s swimming pool and jacuzzi, followed by an awesome restaurant meal.

The following photos tell some of our story.
