Darkness Speaks

this morning

the sunrise warm’d my skin

my feet and hands puddl’d along the shore
o’er the last breath of each wave

my fingers tast’d of salt

the fragrance of the sea and barbecues

the melodia of seagulls and swimmers

such was Today’s shape of my perpetual night
that only a Blind Woman like myself
can digest

and be uplift’d
to a smile

Blind Love

though my eyes never born

when the rain from thy words
laps upon me

the scent of thy voice
strokes my imagination

with the spectrum of darkness
that be thy peerless shadow

and I am awash with Light

blind dreams

all beyond this flesh of breath
                                    do gaze
                                    and invade
                                    thy fleece
                                    thy savor
                                    thy redolence
                                    thy song
                                    inspiring pillow’d imagination
                                    with trepidation
                                    with amenity
                                    within night eternal
