Berth of a Lifetime (from the Time Capsule)
from looking up
within the shade
of my forebrethren
to casting my own shadow
upon green flesh
breaking ground
till leafless gray
groom’d my breathless limbs
for others to shelter
for inquiring minds to nourish
at my newest splendor
I am at home
Boarding Passes
Taking some time off to fly back east. First, to finally perform a long-awaited veteran’s memorial service for my brother-in-law. Then to get together with family and friends– some of whom (because of our distant addresses) we’ve kept in touch with but haven’t seen in years. Be safe, fellow bloggers. And have a wonderful summer. Peace.
Art
Isolation
our eyes once
held hands
your footsteps
sunken into mine
o’er
the cold warmth
the beauty
the wonders
of winter’s boulevard
now all
by your absence
be a blur
striking me
colorblind
in all spectra
as my mind
trips
into frozen thought
we are not here
we are
not
Ambush
of her be aware
hawk who espies everything
if you snooze you lose
(This happens– usually just outside my front door– about 4 times a year. It takes a few days for the local birds to resume their activities around the hanging feeder and the ground level water dish.)
Desert View
fallen from herbage
seedlings of obscurity
breeding endless sand
Pantry
Spark
my dearly belov’d Sight
unveil
that She might
caress the distance
with Clarity
and of Myself let the rest
Imagine a Meaning
