Which Way Today?

Somewhere
between Forest and Sea
be Bridge Transparent—
slowly laden with Scents
of Footprints
from wild Curiosities—
who educate Themselves
in the Where—
gradually solidifying Enjoyment
in shar’d Territories
by Human and Beast

Epoch

so futuristic
this Now—
so long ago
until a Century’s Guise I don —
and hopefully
in hope have Faith still
That be true
That Tomorrow

Waiting Room

in the glittering Wake
of the Future
resides my Spirit

lighting my Way
across the mystic Sea
of Souls

that my whimsical Tomorrows
might toast
my favorite Goblet

and share only the Joys
of Yesteryears

            ‘Yor

Brood for Thought

no despondence
over Future’s passing

a forecast riddle
a draw on a chess board
between faith and science

part of unborn Time’s evolution?
or gangplank into Nothingness?

best not to cerebrate
best to live for living

21

some say
the kid is gone

a man now
in a world of new rules
new accountability
new maturity
  new virility
   new sensibility
    new rationality

but will whisper the heart
in the far tomorrow
about the kid who never left

Coliseum

a scar in th’ earth
where a thumb signal
for life or death
was laud’d
then
in the most civiliz’d
of realms

Isolation

our eyes once
held hands
your footsteps
sunken into mine
o’er
the cold warmth
the beauty
the wonders
of winter’s boulevard

now all
by your absence
be a blur
striking me
colorblind
in all spectra
as my mind
trips
into frozen thought

we are not here

we are
not

Fishing in the Fog

eyes have sunken
through stilly water

open
asleep

yet drifting awake
inside that other world
thinner than th’ inlying soul
of time

tracking the footsteps
of a Meaning

after surfacing
will pen and paper
at the ready
Remember?
